Franklin, TN – Capella Healthcare Co-Founder and CEO Dan Slipkovich will be a featured speaker at a panel discussion on “Technology-Enabled Health Care: The Future of Health Care Services” in Seattle, WA on November 2. The event is co-sponsored by the Nashville Health Care Council and Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.

“The cities of Nashville and Seattle serve as robust centers of unparalleled health care expertise,” said Caroline Young, President of the Nashville Health Care Council. “With Seattle’s in-depth health information technology know-how and Nashville’s strong track record for health care provider services, the intersection of these two communities in offering tools for high-quality care delivery is more important than ever, creating opportunities for both cities to collaborate and learn from each other.”

“The future of healthcare requires increasing dependence on information technologies,” Slipkovich said. “Capella Healthcare has been working very hard over the past several years to identify the best partners and technologies to help us achieve the most effective enterprise-wide IT operations. These collaborative efforts will assist us in achieving our mission of providing the highest quality of patient care.”

The event features Nashville and Seattle-based technology executives, health care industry leaders and special guests for a unique learning and cross-country networking experience. The discussion will be moderated by Michael Burcham, President and CEO, Nashville Entrepreneur Center. In addition to Capella Healthcare CEO Dan Slipkovich, panel members include: Mark Ganz, President and CEO, The Regence Group; David Kosloff, Principal, Frazier Healthcare; Dennis Schmuland, M.D., Chief Health Strategy Officer, Microsoft Corporation
