Capital Radiation Therapy is a $6 million, state-of-the-art radiation therapy center. Capital Radiation Therapy encompasses approximately 7,000 square feet on the Capital Medical Center campus. The facility houses an Elekta Synergy® digital linear accelerator. The Elekta Synergy is the first radiation treatment system with an integrated 4D system that enables clinicians to obtain images of tumors just before treatment. More importantly, the Image Guided Radiation Therapy allows physicians to more precisely target tumors with radiation beams while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue resulting in improved patient outcomes.

Capital Radiation Therapy is the newest radiation oncology center in the Olympia and greater Southwest Washington area to offer this advanced service to its patients. Capital Radiation Therapy’s approach to cancer treatment has been developed with the patient’s need in mind. It’s with a passion for precision and a commitment to clinical excellence that the hospital chose Elekta Synergy, the premier 4D Adaptive™ IGRT intensity modulation radiation therapy (IMRT) system, for noninvasive treatment of cancer.

Capital Radiation Therapy boasts of three waiting rooms, all located away from the hospital’s main waiting areas for patient comfort and privacy. This waiting area is near Capital Radiation Therapy’s main workstation. Two other waiting areas are also located close by in dressing rooms; one for women and one for men. The two dressing areas also feature flat screen TVs and comfortable seating.
