Medical Insurance
Employees choose between two different PPO plans designed to provide protection to employees and immediate family. Both plans cover the same services, but at different levels.
Dental
Care covers a wider range of services and is divided into four basic categories: preventative and diagnostic services, basic services, major services, and orthodontia.
Vision
Coverage allows benefits for yearly eye exams, glassed, lenses, contacts, and discounts on laser vision care.
401(K) Retirement Plan
This benefit is available to all employees after six months of service. Employees can contribute pre-tax dollars and choose from several investment options. Capella matches the first 2% of pay that you contribute to the plan dollar-for-dollar, and makes a 25% match on the next 4% you contribute.
Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
Capella’s flexible spending accounts help employees save money by paying for out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars.
Short Term and Long Term Disability
Disability plans continue a portion of employees income if disabled due to illness, injury, or pregancy. Benefits are reduced by any other disability benefits, such as Social Security.
Basis Life and AD&D Insurance
Capella Healthcare provides company paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance to Full-time employees working at least thirty-two hours a week. Additional coverage is available to employees at excellent group rates.
Dependent Life and AD&D Insurance
Employees can take advantage of discounted rates for their spouse and eligible children.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP is a free service designed to help employees and their family cope with personal concerns. The EAP provides a variety of confidential counseling services, including:

Paid Time Off (PTO)
PTO is the incorporation of vacation, holiday, and sick leave into one program which allows for greater flexibility when scheduling paid time off. Time off is paid at the employee’s regular hourly rate.

This online tool allows employees to enroll in benefits, view benefits at any time, access links to carrier web sites, and make changes to benefits during Open Enrollment and throughout the year when life events occur.
